Hollywood - Day 7

We made a short day out of Hollywood. The highlight of Hollywood Blvd. was, without a doubt, the walk of fame. I never expected that walking along a street while looking at my feet could be so exciting. I found Jimi Hendrix, Whoopi Goldberg, Orson Welles, Pee-Wee Herman, Ray Charles, and so many more. Then I saw Ryan Seacrest's star...

Anyhow, we caught a glimpse of the H-wood sign, which used to say Hollywoodland many years ago. But the second word was removed by some vandals under the cover of the night.

For lunch we were both delighted and disappointed. We took shelter from the sun (and the hate and smog) inside a small Mediterranean restaurant. Now, we have no problem with their food. In fact, it was quite delicious. But the service so rubbed us the wrong way, we can't recommend it. It's a shame. The free bread with the meal, and the tomatoey, eggplanty mix alongside it was like canoeing down the Nile. But after they forgot half of our order, and then brought it to us twenty minutes later as if nothing had happened, was a bit off-putting.

We finished off the day by driving through Beverly Hills, and making a quick stop on Rodeo drive only to have a brief glimpse of fashions I'll probably never afford, or would feel completely uncomfortable wearing.
